ORGANIC CA CARA CARA ORANGES 4/5 BUSHEL, 35-40 LBS, FANCY

 The Cara Cara orange is a treat you don't want to miss during its short season! They may look like ordinary navels, but Cara Cara's have a sweet surprise - pretty pink flesh that is less acidic and somewhat sweeter than a regular orange. 

The Cara Cara looks like a regular orange, and it is truly a type of navel, but it has deeper, pink flesh that looks more like a red grapefruit than an orange. Lycopene (the pigment found it tomatoes) is the antioxidant that gives these oranges their pretty pink pulp. The picture here shows the Cara Cara orange on the left and the navel on the right. 

The Cara Cara's flavor is sweet like an orange and aromatic,but still pleasantly tart and with an undertone of berries or cherries. Cara Cara oranges are also called red or pink navels. 

Cara Caras are usually easy to peel and section and they are basically seedless.
