OAT GROATS, WHOLE 50 LB

Oat groats are the whole oat grain. They look a bit like whole wheat, but they are longer, thinner, and a little lighter in color. Whole oat groats can be used whole in recipes like slow cooker oatmeal (1 cup whole oats, 4 cups water, cook in the slow cooker on low overnight), ground to make oat flour, or rolled at home to make the kind of oats that come in the round box with the little Quaker man on the front.
