 The grains of long grain brown rice tend to stay separate when they're cooked instead of sticking together like short grain rice, or like sticky white rice. When cooking long grain brown rice, a good rule of thumb to remember is to add 2 parts of water for every 1 part of rice. This will produce fully cooked, separate grains of rice without extra liquid.
