About Honeycrisp Apples

The shattering crunch you feel when you bite into the sweet, super juicy flesh of a Honeycrisp apple is more like an experience than a snack!

Honeycrisp apples have a complex, sweet-tart flavor and ripen in early fall.

Best Uses

Excellent for fresh eating, salads, applesauce, cider, baking, and pies.

Are Honeycrisp apples good for storage?

OK - You really have to keep them cold right from the start.

This handy apple chart shows which apples are best for which purposes.

What's IPM?

These apples are grown by a family that we have worked with for several years now, and we have never been disappointed with the quality of their fruit. As is the case with most of our other conventional fruits, these apples are grown using a method of farming known as Integrated Pest Management

Putting Apples By

Surely every family has their own favorite way to use apples. Here are a few ideas to help make yours last as long as possible.

Canned or frozen applesauce

Frozen apple slices are great for pies, sauce, cakes, smoothies, and crisps.

Fresh apple storage can be pretty easy if you have the fridge space or if you wait for cooler weather. Here's how our neighbor, Wilda, keeps her apples fresh until June.

Canned or frozen apple pie filling
