APPLE CIDER, 1 Gallon Jug

This apple cider is pressed fresh just for us from a mix of apple varieties to give it a robust flavor. Made with just apples and UV pasteurized. UV treatment of apple cider does not involve heat, and retains the full flavor and nutritional spectrum of the cider.

This Cider Needs Refrigeration

There are no preservatives in this fresh-from-the-farm apple cider, so it needs to be refrigerated before and after opening. If left at room temperature, it will ferment into hard cider and then vinegar. Please refrigerate as soon as possible.

If you are storing the cider for more than a week then you should freeze it to keep it fresh.

How To Freeze Cider

Cider is freezable, so you can easily store it until Christmas or into the new year (if you are keen on resisting temptation as a New Year's resolution). You will need to remove about two cups of cider cider from the jug before you freeze it to allow for expansion. It's best to keep the jug right-side-up until it's frozen to avoid spills or leaks. 

To use frozen cider, be sure to completely thaw it first. This allows the water portion of the cider to distribute evenly with the flavorful portion before you drink it.
