Item Description

Our friends at Sonlit Meadow Farm have made available to us blueberry plants. We have planted their plants on our property and have been very pleased with the quality of the plants and berries. The plants you will receive are 2-3 years old and approximately 3 feet in height. They will mature to 5-10 feet tall and 5-8 feet wide, thriving in full sun or partial shade. You will receive 3 plants,  a combination of varieties listed below.

Sonlit Meadows Farm Rabbiteye Blueberry Varieties

Climax: Early Season—Late June-Early July. Thought to be the sweetest of the Rabbiteye varieties. Very delicious. Berries are more scattered but well worth the time and effort to pick them. Plants are smaller and seem to be more sensitive to the soil requirements. Concentrated ripening season-can be harvested in only 2-3 pickings.

Tiffblue: Mid Season—July   A very productive berry largest bush of the varieties we have.  Berries turn blue before fully ripe. If allowed to ripen fully they develop a dusty appearance fruit is excellent.

Brightwell: Early Season- Early July. The Brightwell  blueberry plant ripens early season, right after Climax and ahead of Tiftblue. Fruit is average size and very firm. Berries are light blue with excellent quality and flavor. Yields are high.

Premier: Early Season- Late June-Early July. Fruit has excellent flavor, light blue color, and a dry scar. Highly productive.

Centurion: It is a late flowering, late season producer of medium size berries that are medium-dark blue in color, slightly less firm, with a good flavor. As a late flowering Rabbiteye variety, Centurion has good resistance to frost/freeze damage.

Growing Practices
